D.C. Lamothe (b.) 1966 NY, studied painting at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. Shortly therafter she formed a band which was active for 8 years and released three albums. Lamothe continually made visual art throughout this period, collaborating, giving talks, and showing work.
She has shown work at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Fleisher Art Memorial, Temple University Gallery, Kelly Writers House at University of Pennsylvania, 112 Gallery, 378 Gallery, and has performed at The Knitting Factory, The Mercury Lounge, Fez and Brownies, Theatre of the Living Arts, The Khyber Pass, The Ruba, THe Rotunda at Penn, and The Trocodero among other places.
Lamothe has taught at University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and has supported the arts by working at The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts, Larry Becker Gallery, in conservation in private practice, and more.
Recently her work was featured on the cover of the debut album of Son of Town Hall, a book of poetry by artist, writer, and curator Laris Kreslins, and in The Aquifer, The Florida Review at UCF.
